TradeShow Teacher News

Exhibit City News Top 40 Under 40

TradeShow Teacher was nominated by clients and voted by Exhibit City News as One of the Top 40 Under 40 in the Trade Show Industry! .....Thank you to all who nominated me!

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, millions of baby boomers, born between 1946 and 1964, are nearing retirement, including hundreds, if not thousands, of exhibit and association industry professionals. Who will take up the gauntlet as these industry veterans step down?

Exhibit City News knows. We sent out a call for nominations to identify our industry's under 40 hot shots and the nominations came in fast and furious, nominations sent by supervisors, peers, colleagues and friends.

Exhibit City News is profiling some of our industry's most dynamic young business leaders, vendors, exhibit and event managers, sales and account executives, entrepreneurs, managers, marketers, designers, and engineers: 40 Under 40. Nominees will be profiled in the August issue of Exhibit City News.

TradeShow Teacher Answers Shipping & Handling's
Top 10 Questions

Hello Class, TradeShow Teacher is back with your next lesson! Today we’ll look at:

-  Exhibit Transportation & Material Handling Basics
-  Management of Exhibiting Paperwork

Most shows necessitate the use of the services we are covering in this lesson, yet I have found that many exhibitors and other industry professionals are stymied by these topics. Sure, most of us prefer to focus on the fun stuff like finding the latest and greatest promotional item, but really they don’t do you much good unless they, together with your exhibit and materials, actually make it somehow to the  booth!

Did you know that the shipping and handling of your exhibit and materials to and from the show often makes up about 9% of your show costs? By understanding shipping options and processes you can make informed decisions that can reduce that expense.

OK, let’s get started with the lesson. Click Here to Read the Rest of the Article.

It's Good to "Go Green"

Hello class, it's time for your next lesson! This article will be covering how to "go green" with your exhibiting, or at least "greenish".

Fortunately, the world is becoming increasingly aware of the need to be more environmentally conscious. The trade show industry is jumping on the same bandwagon of course, and a significant trend towards “green exhibiting” is quite noticeable.  This is not just a trendy thing to do, but makes a very positive contribution to preserving natural resources and protecting the environment. Singers and athletes practice to perfect their performances, why shouldn't your booth staff? 80% of your company's trade show results depend on your booth staff's performance at the shows you exhibit at; they are the most important asset your company has at the trade show.  Don't you think it's worth the investment of providing them with the proper skills and training to be successful?

We understand that In-person Booth Staff Training programs are highly effective, but can be costly and don't always fit into the budget in these tough economic times. That's why TradeShow Teacher has created cost-effective, value driven products that deliver your company with the ability to train booth staff yourselves; allowing you to take full advantage of every exhibiting opportunity and increase trade show ROI!
